Client Counseling

Nutritional Counseling

NutritionGood nutrition is the key to a healthy life for your pet. At Rose Rock Veterinary Hospital, counseling about nutrition starts with your pet's very first visit with a veterinarian. We talk to you about the choices available for your pet's food, and we also discuss the proper frequency and amount of food your pet should receive. Rose Rock can also counsel clients whose pets are overweight or have special dietary requirements.

Nutrition is just as important for your pet as it is for you. The benefits of nutritional counseling include weight loss, increased energy levels and a healthier lifestyle. Ask us today about nutritional counseling for your pet.

Behavior Counseling

Behavior problems are not uncommon in pets. Behavior problems are often complex to treat and may be the result of medical or environmental problems. At Rose Rock Veterinary Hospital, we begin counseling owners about behavior when their pet is still young so that behavior problems can be recognized early and possibly prevented. If your pet is having trouble getting along with other pets or people in your home, urinates or defecates inappropriately or has issues with separation anxiety, we can help you and your pet solve these behavior problems.

Pet Selection Counseling

If you considering adding a pet to your family, we can help you select a specific species, breed or type of animal. Rose Rock Veterinary Hospital staff can talk to you about what to expect from a particular type of pet so that the relationship between your family and your pet is a positive one. Our aim is for your pet to be a member of your family for many years, and pet selection counseling is the first step to making sure you choose a pet that is right for you and your home.

Pet City Licenses

The City of Norman requires all people living within the City limits of Norman and owning a dog or cat to pay an annual fee for a pet license for each dog or cat over six months of age. We can provide you with your pet's annual city license. Your pet must have a current rabies vaccination to receive its license.
